Snowbasin 29029

Well... I just spent the weekend voluntarily walking up the same mountain 13 times😂

Snowbasin 29029 is a challenge to climb the equivalent elevation of Mount Everest—29,029 vertical feet—in 36 hours. It was hard, beautiful, exhausting, inspiring, and somehow also really fun.

One of the countless things I learned is this: just take the next step, then the next one, then the next one.

Isn't that true in life? Relationships. Health goals. Work projects. Grief. Growth. Faith.

The big things can feel overwhelming when we look too far ahead. But the next step? Usually we can do the next step.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was having family there cheering me on💙 And hearing my two-year-old grandson say, "Go Mema Go!" in his little red shoes was all kinds of motivation!

Forever grateful for Jeff, my partner-in-crime, who supports me in all my crazy adventures.

I also found myself thinking about Jesus a lot. (Kristen even gave me a little Jesus to keep in my hiking vest.) Knowing friends and family were praying for me and cheering me on made every step feel more meaningful. It reminded me how much our connections with others matter ~ and that we're not meant to walk life's mountains alone. And even when we do feel alone, Jesus is still walking beside us.

So whatever mountain you're climbing right now, don't worry about reaching the top today. Just take the next step.

And if you need someone to cheer you on, I'm here anytime💙

For my fellow number lovers:
⛰️ 30½ hours total
👟 107,800 steps
🥾 43.5 miles
⬆️ 29,700 feet of elevation
Think I'll rest a few days. I'm a little sore😂

Crazy travel to SLC, but SWA saved the day both ways🙏

Grandma & Grandpa Austin met us to see Kooper

Kooper running up and down the hills everywhere.  Tiff's gift pillow gave me inspiration and tender memories.  Kurtis passed his check ride and is now a Delta Driver💙 Kind comments from a fitness sub class.  LeAnn gets to start her first official weekly class next Thursday!

Koop loved playing with Pop throughout the entire trip.
Justin came and brought a fun game to play.

Snowbasin and LeAnn's tent

Kooper, Pop, Kristen & Justin went to play with the dinosaurs

LeAnn & Jill getting started on the first lap

Family and Jesus cheering & walking with LeAnn

Making progress and Justin & Jeff give massages on the gondala ride down

Nick came to join the fun too!
Sidd helped LeAnn blaze through some dark, tough laps.

Steve & Steph came to cheer LeAnn on too!

Last Lap ~ #13

I did it!

Tender Celebrations ~ so grateful💙

What an incredible experience & more movement than ever in this short 30+ hours!

Thank you Jesus and SWA for getting us home when everyone else was stuck at the airport🙌
