Zion & Dam Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving break, we flew to Vegas
and stayed with Grandma & Grandpa in St. George.
There are countless things to see and do there.
Zion National Park is beautiful!
Hoover Dam is amazing!
We thought it was hilarious that they said "dam" before everything.
Standing in two states - Arizona & Nevada
Grandma & Grandpa have a miniature
golf course in their back yard
B & K playing Spades with their uncles
Grandpa scooping up homemade frostys
Kurt challenged Aunt Steph & I
to a push-up contest - I lost:)
Sawyer & Justin
There is a great swimming pool around the block - we went twice
Jeff LOVES the slide
The things you can do with cushions...
Playing Snatch
Nightly sleepover with the cousins
Turkey Dinner
How thankful we are for our incredible family
and our endless blessings!

Sweeter:)

Nick spent Saturday morning peeling sweet potatoes for pie.
He loved every minute of it and peeled 5 pounds of potatoes discovering the "milk" in some and the shapes of others:)
What a sweet boy!

Sweet

In April I planted a few sweet potatoes.
October came and still no potatoes. I called Bill Curlee, the gardening expert. Who knew those sweet things grew under the ground and I wouldn't be able to see them:) I was beyond excited when I started digging and found beautiful sweet potatoes,
it was like discovering gold!
My boys are not as fond of sweet potatoes as I am. However, they love pumpkin pie. So I made a sweet potato pie (and didn't tell them). They liked it better than the pumpkin.
Today I dug up the rest of the potatoes - aren't they beautiful!
Oh the things I can make...
