Homecoming

19+ years ago we moved to McDonough, GA. Brandon was 2 and Kurtis was a baby. The first week at church, a cute girl (Cheryl) approached me, introduced her family (she had a 2 year old and a baby as well) and invited us over for dinner. That was a huge answer to prayers, and developed into one of my most cherished friendships. Cheryl taught me countless things...how to navigate Atlanta traffic, shared her zoo pass, pre-school, how to teach toddlers to swim, yummy recipes, potty training tips, food-bank, Braves games, lots of holidays, Christmas parade, Brusters ice cream (her cute mama would always treat us), how to serve others, and how to love.

Fast forward to today. We had the blessing of attending Chase's homecoming from his 2 year mission in South Korea ~ what an incredible young man! Chase and Kurt are only 6 weeks apart in age and even though we don't live close, these cute boys have stayed friends through EFY and get togethers, and this week they will be college roommates!

When we are together, we line up the kids oldest to youngest ~ how I treasure these pictures. Today we were missing Cade because he is in the MTC and leaves on his mission for Spain tomorrow. These cute kiddos have served missions in El Salvador/Belize, Italy, South Korea and now Spain. Love the wonderful adults they are becoming and look forward to many more adventures together.

How grateful we are for the amazing Neuberger family! My heart is full and lots to ponderize. I read this scripture today in 1 Corinthians 2:9 (love the whole chapter): "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." The Neubergers are powerful examples to us of following the Spirit, loving God and loving others ~ and oh how we love them❤️
Justin drove all 6+ hours - we made it and he almost has his 40:)
