El Salvador/Belize & BYU

Brandon's mission call and acceptance to BYU came the same day!

Brandon has been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the El Salvador San Salvador West/Belize Mission.  He will go to the Mexico Missionary Training Center in July to prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language for the next 2 years.  We are thrilled he has chosen to embark on this new adventure!  My heart is smiling and so grateful...we are beyond blessed~

EMBARK is the word of the year.

Brandon's Senior Vacation

All Brandon wanted for his vacation was to hang out and eat lots...check check!

Thanks to our dear friends Larry & Connie for the great accommodations.   Even though Florida was very busy, we had a wonderful week!  Grandma & Grandpa met us there and Kurtis drove to get driving hours.  He now has experience on the interstate, heavy traffic, fog, rain, and toll booths (which is another story;).

Universal Studios & Blue man Group were the perfect Christmas gift from Grandpa & Grandma!  We were amazed with the Blue man show.  Universal Studios & Island of Adventure is Harry Potter heaven, and the boys loved all the roller coasters.

Zip lining and alligator shows at Gatorland - what a fun place!

Kennedy Space Center is remarkable.

Nightly bath in the huge tub, games galore, delicious food...

C.A.R.E. Clinic

Nick's Eagle Project was to collect copy paper, clorox wipes and lysol spray for the C.A.R.E. Clinic. The donations were brought to the Festival of the Nativity, an incredible Christmas experience with over 450 Nativities from around the world.
Kudos to Louise Johnson for this incredible 2nd annual event.

The boys picked a fireplace insert instead of a Christmas tree.  For those who think we don't enjoy Christmas, not true.  However, family time around the fireplace will be cherished for years to come! We're going to keep our foot tree and never get a big one.
