Brandon Farewell and Open House

Brandon spoke in church today.  He shared his beautiful thoughts and testimony.  So thankful for the incredible man he is becoming!  What a blessing his mission will be to him and our family.  Brandon also accompanied Jefferson on the cello.  We will so miss the beautiful music Brandon played for us on the piano.

Truly thankful for the Trustys and Neubergers ~ their friendship and years of wonderful memories together.  This was our little "pre open house" and blast from the past!
The line-up...oldest to youngest.
We love you Neubergers!
We have been so blessed to live in the best neighborhood in the world.  To be surrounded by genuine and kind friends.  Some pictured beneath and some not.  Thank you for loving and supporting our sweet Brandon.  Your generosity has meant the world to us.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you do for our family!
Could not have done this without Mom & Dad/Grandma & Grandpa!
Thank you for taking care of all the kitchen/food craziness, tons of set up and clean up, and keeping everyone fed and smiling.  You are incredible examples to us of quiet service, genuine interest and constant love.  Words can't express how thankful we are for all you do for each one of us.  We love you~

Super Saturday

Grandma & Grandpa came to celebrate the weekend and Brandon's Farewell with us.
Busy and fun all mixed into one! Grandma, Nick and Justin had a treading water contest that lasted 2+ hours. Grandpa took them for oreo shakes making it well worth it:) Mom took LeAnn for a relaxing pedicure. Pages gave us delicious pecans that Mom and Jeff had fun opening.  It's always fun when G & G come!!!
Almost 16 years ago we moved to GA....truly a life changing event.  Brandon was 2 and Kurtis not yet 1 and we had never lived more than 2 hours from family.  2000 miles seemed forever away and I was struggling.  Cheryl, my answer to prayers, kindly approached me at church and invited us over for dinner.  Her cute kids Carley and Chase were the same age as my boys and for the next 3 years we were inseparable.  Cheryl taught me countless things...how to maneuver ATL traffic, potty training tips, and how to get the boys to swim.  We spent hours at playgrounds, the zoo, preschool, holiday/birthday celebrations, parades, Braves games, Brusters and so much more.  Cheryl is one of the best examples in my life of service, kindness and love...she is always thinking about others and what she can give or do.  Thankfully long distances don't erase memories, and phone calls & texts still share laughter and tears.  I will forever be grateful to my dear friend Cheryl and her beautiful family and mom Carol, for the endless things they've done for our family.
So thankful they came to spend this special weekend with us.
Loved visiting, swimming and golf carting together.

Utah

Getting to Utah is always an adventure.
Justin, Nick and I have a song that we sing while spending days in the airport:)
It took 3 days for our family to all get to SLC,
but we made it and had a crazy busy wonderful time!

Blessed to see some dear friends and catch up for just a few minutes.
