Another Project...

After talking with Joe Kuebler, Kurtis decided to build a "waiting" shelter at the ball fields for his eagle scout project. Joe helped him get the city approval and Kurtis learned all about building permits, inspections and waiting. Matt Denison helped Kurtis draw up plans and come up with a list of materials he would need. James at Home Depot spent 1 1/2 hours helping Kurtis get all the supplies and they donated $100 too.
taking measurements
digging footings
more measurements

Mike and Ryan Trusty helping - Thank you!

Ben & Mitchell Johnson helping - Thank you!
Matt Denison helping multiple times
and getting lots of phone calls.
He was so generous with his time, tools and knowledge!!!
Kurtis called Greg Harrell at Fairburn Ready Mix and they sent a cement truck out to pour the bench slab. The 2 guys that came with the trucks helped Kurtis learn how to cement. They donated everything - thank you Fairburn Ready Mix!

Jeff and Kurtis spent a rainy afternoon/evening
building the bench in the garage.

Ben Johnson donated his hammer drill
and came to get the bench ready to be mounted.
Thank heavens for an incredible scout master!
Jeff practicing his shingling skills. He loves a wobbly roof:)
Duane Clarke donated his nail gun, roof nails and tar paper.

Joe met Kurtis for the final signature
after the city inspected and approved the project.
Thank you Joe and PTC Little League for this eagle opportunity!
No more projects for awhile:)
